We love seniors!
Staying socially engaged keeps older adults well in many ways. It can improve emotional, intellectual, and physical wellness. Overall wellness in all of these areas is key to getting and staying healthy as a person grows older.
Being involved in social activities can help stave off isolation and loneliness – two issues seniors may face if they aren’t socially engaged. Social activities help people to build connections with others and improve their mood. Classes, lectures, and concerts are all opportunities to gather with others to make connections and get a mood boost.
Are you or someone you know a senior? We have a growing community of seniors, and we would love for you to be apart of it. Throughout the year, we host special gatherings and events that include music, refreshments, inspiration, and friendship. Serving the needs of seniors is an important part of who we are, and we make a special effort to cater to their special needs. This can even include arranging car-pooling so that seniors can attend events not held at St. Cuthbert's.
Our seniors get together every Tuesday morning starting at 10am and all are welcome.
Chinese Seniors Music and Dance
Every Friday morning the Chinese seniors of our community gather for a time of singing and traditional dance.
On Monday mornings at 9:30am, the Chinese seniors gather as a choir to learn songs in English. These songs are performed at concerts and events organized for the community.
