ST. CUTHBERT'S WELLNESS HUB

The St. Cuthbert's Wellness Hub in Oakville stands at the forefront of community health and wellness initiatives, dedicated to nurturing communal bonds and individual well-being across a broad spectrum. Central to its mission is the comprehensive embrace of the six critical dimensions of well-being—addressing the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, and occupational needs of the community. In a world where loneliness is increasingly recognized as a critical health issue, the Hub's focus on this aspect underscores its timely and vital mission.

A distinctive feature of the Hub is its innovative program that cultivates wellness educators among the community's youth and seniors, effectively bridging the gap between generations while harnessing their unique insights and experiences. This approach not only enriches the program's diversity but also strengthens the fabric of the community through shared learning and mutual respect. Participants are equipped not just to serve but also to enhance the resilience and wellness of their community actively.

Experts in meditation, tai chi, nutrition, and communication skills further enrich the Hub's holistic wellness strategy. These practices are essential for fostering a strong mind-body connection, enhancing mental and physical health, and encouraging meaningful social interactions. They equip community members with the essential tools and knowledge to take control of their health and support others in their wellness journeys.

The St. Cuthbert's Wellness Hub exemplifies a model of proactive community engagement, education, and empowerment. By prioritizing the well-being of its members and providing them with the means to thrive, the Hub significantly contributes to the overall vitality and health of the Oakville community.

How does God feel about Queer People?

We asked ministers from denominations all over Canada to find out. Here's what they said: God loves Queer People. The idea that all Canadian churches are hostile to the queer community is simply false, as these ministers and Moderators of the major denominations make clear. So what can you do? Contact your local politicians and let them know you do not condone hatred against queer people. Let the world know that God is love, and God loves people of all sexualities and genders.
